Steve Black has been a licensed REALTOR® for over 5 years, first in California and now in Ormond Beach, Florida at Realty Pros Assured. During that time, he has been instrumental in structuring successful transactions for his clients with virtually every type of property. As a leader in the field, he received many awards including the Century 21 Masters Ruby achievement in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Choosing to relocate from California to Florida in 2009 was an exciting opportunity and was like returning home. Steve’s family has contributed to the local community since the 1950’s when his great-grandparents retired here and purchased “The Cadillac Oceanfront Apts.” on “The World’s Most Famous Beach”. Steve’s grandfather, Benjamin Hand, was the owner of “Hand Mortgage Co.” in Ormond for 15 years. His great-uncle, Drew Murphy, Jr. was the fine arts writer of “Sights and Sounds” for 40 years at the Daytona Beach News Journal. His great-uncle, David Ritzi was the co-owner of William Ritzi & Co. Jewelers that was located in downtown Daytona Beach for many years. Steve’s goal is to continue giving back to this community by providing a superior level of service to each client, whether they are relocating locally or as they consider making Florida their new home.

Steve has also enjoyed many successes in other fields. He held management positions in Best Buy stores for over 7 years, including Sales, Operations and Merchandising. At one point, Steve achieved the #1 overall ranked store in the country. As a problem-solver and innovative thinker, he created what became the “Geek Squad” at Best Buy. Other positions he has held include licensed health insurance agent, photographer/videographer and mobile phone app design/coding and web design/coding. The diversity of his experience has also resulted in a nationwide network of industry professionals that he uses to assist his clients with all aspects of their properties. The skills that Steve has mastered are the same skills that are so important in any real estate transaction – communication, process management, marketing, organization, problem-solving, negotiation and the understanding and application of the latest technologies.
